From the excitement of opening the box when its delivered through to the time saving ease that the contents can give: letterbox deliveries and subscription boxes can have many benefits but with so many on the market, which ones are actually worth spending your money?
As you know I am fast becoming a letterbox junky.
With boxes to make your snacking healthier, your beauty regime more vegan friendly, your meal times easier, baking cakes and bread, learning new crafts…. I’ve tried a few and here are a couple of reviews which fed my addiction.
Moira Fuller created Craftiosity after leaving a very stressful career and who also loved the respite of sitting down with something to make, and the magic that descends as you forget the day and focus on making.
She started Craftiosity because she wanted to make it easier to tap into your creativity, to try new things, to learn in your own time, and to make something you really want to have or use.
So every month she will send you a completely new kit to make beautiful things for your life and for your home.
One time it could be book-binding, the next ceramics, the next cyanotype printing – all with everything you need in the box and step by step instructions to make something you’ll love.
You can jump in for a single kit, subscribe or gift.
This month it was ‘Exposed Stitch Bookbinding’, making this little book with patterned papers, colourful twine and partially exposed inside pages.
I’m excited as I have a subscription and looking forward to a letterbox delivery in March.
Faye Savory calls herself ‘Chief Sender of Hugs’ at her company, BearHugs, and loves sending her ‘hug in a box’ gift hampers through the post. As she is a Yorkshire girl she mostly includes goodies from Sheffield producers in her boxes.
After being very poorly Faye realised the warmth of receiving a thoughtful gift to cheer her on her recovery and that’s how BearHugs began with help from the Prince’s Trust. She has gone on to recently win the Nat West Enterprise Award at the Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards.
You can choose a hug for any person who needs one.

Being a new Granny, I just loved this one for my daughter. A special New Mum and New Baby Bear Hug. Oscar has loved his cute hat!
And Granny Goose needed a hug so I treated myself to a Pamper Bear Hug. I am now quite in love with the Sheffield Skincare Company’s Dooley Scrumptious Whipped Body Butter, to wrap myself with freshness and moisture.
My next fix for this addiction will be here soon, a box of spices from SimplyCook.
